Born to sing !
There are very few people in this world who are very sure about the path they would like to take in their life.And Bhargavi, an ex-Picketian is one among them.
Meet Bhargavi, a hip hop singer,(extreme right in the picture, the one in the red top) the latest sensation to have hit the Indie Pop World.Bhargavi is one of the singers of a Southern Spice Music band called S5. She was selected among thousands of entries at a multi-phase voice hunt.Bhargavi can't speak Tamil but worked hard on her enunciation to sing some hip hop Tamil numbers.
She knew that she had the talent and wanted to become a singer.So, she underwent Carnatic and Hindustani training for 10 and 3 years respectively.And then tried to make her mark in the popular music world.
We weren't aware that this lady was from our school until an excited schoolmate of hers Uma Ayaagiri informed us. Uma happens to have attended music classes with Bhargavi for 2 years and is all praise for her 8th & 9th grade classmate. She adds "Bharagavi was an excellent classical singer but she really blossomed after leaving school".
Bhargavi joined the commerce stream in the 11th grade and passed out of Picket in 2001. On completion of her schooling, she joined Bhavan's sainikpuri to do her B.Comm. Bhargavi was also a Hyderabad finalist for the Channel [V] Pop Star Talent Hunt. She did a bit of modelling and sang a playback number for a telugu movie "Santosham".
We wish this budding star all the best in her life and her music career.!

OH MY GOD!! I dun believe it...this is so great...we were classmates for 3 yrs and then lost touch...i saw her on Channel V *Popstars*..but had no idea she made it so big...hip hop n all that...you go gurl..!!! Oh and I can never forget her laugh...(I'm sure my girlfriends know what I mean...hehe...uma remember ghawnn..Bhargavi u r the cutest)!!
i met bhargavi last year where she had performed at d aasma concert and couldnt believe how down to earth she was. by that time she had already participated in popstars. v spoke of all d students of her batch and i was surprised to find that she remembered almost all of them..
